For this episode of the JamDad Podcast, we’re stepping up to the bar for an absolute heavy hitter. Our featured drink of the week is the timeless Gin Martini. While our own batch on the show suffered from a tragic mishap—turns out the olives we used were accidentally packed in oil, which we highly do not recommend—this recipe is the ultimate redemption blueprint. When done right with crisp gin and fresh dry vermouth, it’s unbeatable. It’s the perfect sharp sipper to pair with some late-night gear talk and our usual unscripted laughs.

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 oz Gin
  • 0.5 oz Dry Vermouth
  • 1 dash Orange bitters (optional, but highly recommended)
  • Fresh olives or a lemon twist for garnish

Instructions: Combine the gin, dry vermouth, and bitters in a mixing glass filled with plenty of ice. Stir smoothly for about 30 seconds until the glass is frosting over and perfectly chilled. Strain the mixture into a chilled martini or coupe glass. Garnish with a skewer of high-quality olives (watch out for the brine!) or a fresh lemon twist.

Grab a glass, pour along with us, and dive into the latest episode!
