For this episode of the JamDad Podcast, we’re serving up a smooth, decadent twist on a classic dessert cocktail inspired by a trip to Ireland. Our featured drink of the week is the Irish Alexander—a rich blend of Cognac and Baileys Irish Cream mixed up courtesy of Ryan Courtney.
The Baileys brings a perfect velvety sweetness, while the Cognac cuts through to balance it out beautifully, creating a drink we affectionately dubbed a cream beverage for forty-year-olds. It’s the perfect companion for Ryan’s unscripted laughs and some late-night gear talk.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Cognac
- 1.5 oz Baileys Irish Cream
- Freshly grated nutmeg for garnish
Instructions: Add the Cognac and Baileys Irish Cream into a cocktail shaker filled with fresh ice. Shake vigorously until well-chilled, then strain the mixture into a chilled coupe or martini glass. Dust the top with a pinch of freshly grated nutmeg for that perfect aromatic finish.
Grab a glass, pour along with Ryan, and dive into the latest episode!
